Bas Rutten Mixed Martial Arts System™
The Bas Rutten Mixed Martial Arts system is a complete mixed martial arts system. Many individuals who train MMA will go to a kickboxing coach to learn striking, a wrestling coach to learn takedowns, and a Jiu- Jitsu coach to learn submissions. Then the practitioner must blend the systems and more importantly modify them to work in a MMA scenario under MMA rules. The Bas Rutten System is a complete MMA system and was developed for modern day competition in the world of mixed martial arts fighting. This system is also great for people who do not want to compete and just learn all the techniques for fitness or self defense. Our system has a intense conditioning and cardio work out.
Who is Bas Rutten?
Bas Rutten has accomplished a lot in the MMA World. He was the three time undefeated King Of Pancrase, and the undefeated UFC Heavyweight champion. Next to being a great fighter, Bas sees himself as even a better teacher. We all know his comments as the color commentator for the Pride fighting Championships. He's generally always right on his commentating predictions during each MMA event. Bas has advised and instructed many of the top fighters in the world. Visit www.basrutten.tv for more info. Watch Bas on Inside MMA and National Geographic.
Why the Bas Rutten Mixed Martial Arts System™?
Known by reputation as a powerful striker (as seen on National Geographic's Fight Science); in the 28 wins that Bas Rutten has in MMA, he has won more fights by submission than by KO! Bas is undefeated in his last 22 fights alone. Taking from his experience and success in submissions, the highly rated Bas Rutten’s Extreme Pancrase instructional video series and the famous Bas Rutten Big Books of Combat were created. Training in the "BRMMA System" you learn this unique grappling and striking style.
What is the Difference between Jiu-jitsu and The Bas Rutten MMA System™?
The techniques of Jiu jitsu were developed while wearing a gi. Because of this many BJJ techniques require the use of the gi to perform their techniques properly. Today in nearly all MMA competitions the gi is not worn. Techniques in the Bas Rutten MMA System were designed so the practitioner could maintain position, escape position and apply submissions all without the use of the gi. This would also be the case in most "street defense" encounters.
