Many individuals who train MMA will go to a kickboxing coach to learn striking, a wrestling coach to learn takedowns, and a Jiu- Jitsu coach to learn submissions.
Commando Krav Maga
Our Self Defense System is not just another reformatted martial art, it is Commando Krav Maga (CKM)
CKM is a modern version of the Krav Maga system designed by the Israeli Military and widely recognized as the world's most effective method of self defense against unarmed attackers, and those using knives, guns, clubs and other weapons.
Women's Kickboxing
Our Women's Kickboxing program is designed for women who want to get in great shape and have fun as well.
Classes are beginner oriented, you will first receive a FREE private lesson before stepping in a group class so you will have the basics down. You will be able to train at your own level and pace. We have students of all ages and fitness levels participating.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling but especially ground fighting.
It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant using leverage and proper technique; most notably, by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat them.
Private Lessons
We offer our clients one on one private training sessions during a time that is convenient for them. (All sessions are 45 minutes in length)
Private Lessons are offered at the Richmond Martial Arts for those students who wish to experience the power of one-on-one instruction. These classes are scheduled around the student's availability and consequently, are perfect for students who are having a difficult time attending the group classes.
Muay Thai
Muay Thai is a form of hard martial art practiced in large parts of the world, including Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries
Muay Thai is referred to as "The Art of Eight Limbs", as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art.
